On the third day of the Kish Bank, Stock Exchange and Insurance Exhibition (KISHINVEX 2025), a joint cooperation memorandum between IMIDRO Trading Company and Bank Refah Kargaran was signed by Dr. Laleh Gani, CEO of Bank Refah Kargaran, and Dr. Fazeli, CEO of IMIDRO Trading Company.

The cooperation memorandum between Bank Saderat Iran and Tavanir was renewed for the fourth consecutive year, in the presence of Mohsen Seyfi, CEO of Bank Saderat Iran, and Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, CEO of Tavanir, on the sidelines of the International Electricity Industry Exhibition.

The 12th International Exhibition of Stock Exchange, Banking, Insurance, Privatization, and Investment Opportunities — known as Kish Inox 1404 — commenced on November 10 on Kish Island. The opening ceremony, attended by Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, Dr. Reza Masroor, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade Zones, the Ambassador of Armenia to Iran, and senior executives of banks, insurance companies, and free economic zones, marked a significant milestone in advancing the country’s financial and economic cooperation.

The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones, emphasizing the importance of restoring economic advantages to free trade zones, stated:

“The establishment of independent bank branches and the strengthening of financial infrastructures in free trade zones are among our top priorities, and with the support of the Central Bank, these goals will be achieved in the near future.”

A group of members from the Iranology Scientific Association, accompanied by several history professors from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, conducted a research visit to the Arvand Free Trade Zone.
During the visit, they evaluated the condition of archaeological sites within the area and emphasized the need for systematic and well-structured archaeological studies to preserve and better understand the region’s ancient heritage.

During the consultative meeting between the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and economic stakeholders on Kish Island, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones expressed his appreciation for the role of the private sector in the island’s development, stating:

“The investors present in Kish are true lovers of Iran and devoted to the prosperity of this land. Many of them could have chosen to invest elsewhere in the country, yet with passion and commitment, they remained in Kish and built this region into what it is today.”

In recent days, an important meeting was held on Kish Island, attended by the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones, the managing directors of Iran’s free zone organizations, and various economic stakeholders.
This gathering marked a turning point in the development and strategic scope of Iran’s free trade zones — particularly because the remarks of Seyed Ali Madanizadeh, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, can be regarded as among the most significant government statements on free zone policy in recent years.
Addressing the managers and economic actors, he praised the recent efforts of the Supreme Council Secretariat and emphasized that “Iran’s free trade zones are, in fact, not free — they remain constrained by excessive regulations and restrictions that must be lifted.”

Although this statement might seem like a simple critique, it in fact carries a profound and foundational message, reflecting the Ministry of Economy’s firm determination to redefine the role and position of free trade zones within the broader architecture of Iran’s national economy.

The 27th International Iran Steel Symposium was held from October 27 to 29, 2025 (Aban 6–8, 1404) on Kish Island, with the participation of leading companies and key players in Iran’s steel industry.
On the final day of this major event, the Kaveh South Kish Steel Company’s booth was honored as the top booth of the symposium, in recognition of its continuous efforts, technological innovations, and strong presence as a major steel billet producer and a key industrial hub in Iran’s steel sector.
