In an exclusive interview with Titrsanat News Agency, Mohsen Benar, Director General of Research and Development at RighTel, announced the design and deployment of an intelligent robot equipped with advanced imaging capabilities, real-time monitoring, and 5G connectivity. The robot operates in hard-to-reach and hazardous environments of the oil, gas, petrochemical, and mining industries, enabling precise monitoring of personnel presence, fault detection, and pipeline leakage identification. By sending analytical reports to operational teams, it contributes to enhancing the safety and efficiency of these industries.
Mohsen Benar elaborated on the features and applications of the company’s intelligent robot, which is employed as an advanced assistant in the oil, gas, petrochemical, and mining industries. He explained that this robot is capable of conducting patrol operations and environmental monitoring in locations where difficult access and environmental conditions—such as extremely high or low temperatures—make performing tasks challenging and hazardous for human workers.
The intelligent robot is equipped with real-time monitoring and high-quality imaging capabilities, enabling precise analysis of environmental data and the detection of personnel presence or absence in different locations. Utilizing multiple types of physical sensors, the device can measure environmental conditions and instantly transmit the information via RighTel’s 5G network to central servers.
After processing, this data is transformed into analytical reports and necessary alerts that are sent to the operational teams of the industries, enabling quick and appropriate responses by personnel. According to Benar, one of the key applications of this robot is performing fault detection and leakage identification in industrial pipelines and joints, which, by using advanced imaging equipment and sensors, detects defects in real-time and informs the technical teams.
Although the robot is not applied in the field of mine discovery, it can play an effective and key role in areas related to environmental protection and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management.
